Airbnb bookings: compare cashback and Avios
Check the official Avios route and gift-card cashback before booking, without assuming the rewards will stack.

Start with the final booking price
Rewards only help if the accommodation and total cost already suit your trip. Compare dates, cancellation terms and fees before considering cashback or points.
Collect Avios through the official route
British Airways’ current Airbnb offer lists 2 Avios per £1 of eligible spend on stays and Experiences. Airbnb Services do not qualify. Start with the official BA Airbnb page, allow the required tracking and complete the booking in the same session. Account names must match. Taxes and excluded fees do not earn points.
Compare gift-card cashback
EverUp and other services may offer cashback when buying Airbnb gift cards. Check the current rate, currency, account eligibility and refund restrictions. Buy only credit you are sure you will use: it is less flexible than cash.
Do not assume the offers combine
The Avios terms restrict combinations with other promotions. A gift-card purchase and an Airbnb booking are separate transactions, but neither outcome guarantees both rewards. Check the terms before paying and keep both receipts.
Optional Avios-app invitation
The existing Avios-app invitation is a referral link. Its previously described 500-Avios joining bonus has not been freshly confirmed. Check the reward and required activity on the invitation rather than relying on that amount.
BA’s booking terms checked 18 October 2026. Airbnb gift-card rules apply separately.
